How To Make Red Shiso Juice

Red Shiso. A red, beautiful herb that most of you might not have heard of, with a flavor resembling mint, grapes, blackcurrant and anise and an exotic look. It's for Japanese what basil is for us. They use in it sushi, wasabi, for pickling, in tea...but our favorite of all is Red Shiso juice. Sweet, refreshing, and beautifully red.

While we simply shoved a bunch of Red Shiso leaves in the juicer, here's a more sophisticated, raw, slow food way to make this mysterious, tempting juice, delivered to you by Peaceful Cuisine (by the way, you should watch all of their "No music" videos - it's foodie meditation at its finest). Click here to watch their take on Red Shiso juice!

If you do try preparing something with your Red Shiso, post the results on Instagram with a hashtag #clickandgrow and #indoorgarden, or on our Facebook page! We'd LOVE to see your experiments.
